This week will be adult Vale Tudo Week and No Gi week for youth. You will not need a Gi for Jiu-Jitsu classes this week. You may wear you’re your gi top/belt for Judo classes (shorts will be fine for Judo this week).
We are planning to do a Blue/Brown belt test on Saturday, August 30th. This will be a great opportunity for adult members to see what belt testing looks like, and to get some training in the rolling portions of the test. Tentatively 11:00-1:00. So grab your Gi and come out to train and have fun, we will share a meal after (location TBD)
Check the “groupme” app for Friday evening open mat participants. If you are not on the app, see Coach Ted, who can help you get set up.
Some quick hygiene reminders:
a. No bare feet in the bathroom
b. No Shoes on the mat
c. If you step off the mat barefoot, use the foot cleaning stations before you return to the mat.
d. Use the hand sanitizer on your hands and feet when you come on the mat.
These measures are in place to help prevent the spread of skin infections (ringworm, Staph, etc). Sharing isn't always caring especially when it comes to skin infections, please help keep the mat clean and sanitary for all.
