This Saturday (28 Feb) will be our Adult Blue Belt Test (10:30-12:00) Come out and support the candidates and participate in the rolling portions.
No class on Saturday due to belt testing.
For students wishing to compete in the combat classic (warrior cup) on March 21st, makse sure you preregister. THis event has both youth and adult divisions (Gi and No-Gi grappling, and point kickboxing)
On April 11th UT is hosting their annual tournament. This is a great event for students who want to test the waters of competitive Judo (Both youth and adult). Registration isn't open, but you will need to be a member of the USJA to participate. You can register for the USJA onlibne at USJA.NET. You will need the following to register:
- Our Judo Club is the "Samurai Judo Association" - Club number SC007
- Although we have practice location in 9 states, and Coach Ted is the club director; the Club
- Location is still set as Goose Creek SC.
Even if you do not want to compete, beinig an active member of the USJA will make you eligible for Judo promotion once you meet the time and technical requirnmnets 9Membership is good for a year).
