Here is the Mad Science notes and lesson plan for 4-10 March 2024.

 

Jiu-Jitsu Focus: 

Adult: White-Blue curriculum review

Youth: Guard Sweeps and Attacks

Judo Focus: 

Adult: Competition based drilling and skill development
Youth: Developing balance and movement while integrating techniques.

Kickboxing Focus (All): Managing space and cutting angles.

Combatives Focus (All): Dealing with attacks from blind spots in the home / BJJ ground concepts while armed.

Sambo Focus (All): Throwing from various clinch positions and quick arm lock transitions.

 

 

 

Notes:

1. The adult Blue belt test will be on 23 March.  If you are planning to test and haven’t told coach Ted please confirm this week.

2. Coach Ted will be out of town, 9-13 March, we will not have combatives on Saturday (9 Mar) or Monday 11 Mar); we resume normal training on Saturday 16th)

3. We have some additional gym swag that will be available; hats, beanies, and a few bags are new to the line-up, plus we still have some fight shorts, rash guards, t-shirts and a few sweatshirts still available.  

4. We have three custom embroidered Mad Science Jiu-Jitsu Gis available (1 x White, Blue, Black); they are A4s, but slightly bigger than our normal A4 gis. They have been discounted to $85.

5. On May 11th we will be hosting an affiliate (and friends) training day. It is open to teens and above, it will consist of a free clinic and two hours of open training. More information will be published when it gets closer.
