Here is the Mad Science notes and lesson plan for 20-25 November 2023.

 

Jiu-Jitsu Focus (ALL): Offense and Defense positional training

Judo Focus (All): Understanding Shai

Kickboxing Focus:

  1. Adult: Fighting inside the pocket and creating angles review
  2. Youth: Skill development and drilling

 

Notes:

  1. We will only have youth classes on Monday and Tuesday this week
  2. Wednesday we will only have an adult open mat 6:30-8:30
  3. Thew gym will be closed on Thursday – Happy Thanksgiving
  4. We will not have classes on Friday, but will have an adult Open Mat at 11:00 am – 1:30 pm
  5. Normal Open Mat on Saturday
  6. The adult Jiu-Jitsu class on Monday December 4th will be an ugly sweater night. You do not need to wear a gi top, bring in that ugly sweater and let’s see how it holds up to Jiu-Jitsu :)

I could not be happier with the quality of the instruction and the comfort level walking in the door.  Ted is an easy conversation and will defiantly keep things understandable regardless of the level you are on.  Not only do I train, but my kids train with him as well.  And, I have no reservations about recommending him to any adult or child wanting to learn.

I highly recommend trying mad science judo and Jiu-Jitsu. I am from out of town, but visit the area a couple times of year and have been looking for a go to gym to train at while in town. I showed up for a Friday open mat, and the training was great. Ted (the Black Belt Instructor) treated me like a valued member of his school, and by the end of the night I felt like I was a true member of the school. great people, great atmosphere, and great instruction. I highly recommend to anyone in the oak ridge/ Knoxville area to give this school a shot. I will definitely be back when I come back to town
