Here is the Mad Science notes and lesson plan for 29 May – 3 June 2023.

 

Jiu-Jitsu Focus (All): Guard Passing

Judo Focus:

  1. Adult: Georgian Grip Drilling   
  2. Youth: Skill development and drilling

Kickboxing Focus: Offense considerations and drilling

 

Notes:

1. This Saturday is an affiliation training day at our sister school in Louisville, KY. Any adult members interested in going, see coach Ted.

 

2. We are going to wait one more week to start (June 5th - Next Monday) the first six-week cycle of additional skills reinforcement in the youth program. We have several kids coming in this week to try out our classes, so it would be better if we held off one more week and started together with any of the new children.

I could not be happier with the quality of the instruction and the comfort level walking in the door.  Ted is an easy conversation and will defiantly keep things understandable regardless of the level you are on.  Not only do I train, but my kids train with him as well.  And, I have no reservations about recommending him to any adult or child wanting to learn.

I highly recommend trying mad science judo and Jiu-Jitsu. I am from out of town, but visit the area a couple times of year and have been looking for a go to gym to train at while in town. I showed up for a Friday open mat, and the training was great. Ted (the Black Belt Instructor) treated me like a valued member of his school, and by the end of the night I felt like I was a true member of the school. great people, great atmosphere, and great instruction. I highly recommend to anyone in the oak ridge/ Knoxville area to give this school a shot. I will definitely be back when I come back to town
