Here is the Mad Science notes and lesson plan for 3-7 APR 2023.

 

Jiu-Jitsu Focus:

  1. Adults: Gi/No gi: Maintaining mount and mount attacks
  2. Youth: Linking techniques together / Maintaining mount and mount attacks

Judo Focus:

  1. Adult: Movement and skills development/refinement
  2. Youth: Skill development and drilling

Kickboxing Focus: Bag Work / Partner drilling / Sparring concepts (all).

 

Notes:

  1. NO scheduled classes Friday Night or Saturday (we will have a Friday AM class) – Happy Easter!
  2. This week’s blog will be looking at the benefits of Jiu-Jitsu for PTSD(published on Thursday).
  3. The Mad Science Adult practice tournament will be on Saturday 27 May (T), more information will be published later this week.

I could not be happier with the quality of the instruction and the comfort level walking in the door.  Ted is an easy conversation and will defiantly keep things understandable regardless of the level you are on.  Not only do I train, but my kids train with him as well.  And, I have no reservations about recommending him to any adult or child wanting to learn.

I highly recommend trying mad science judo and Jiu-Jitsu. I am from out of town, but visit the area a couple times of year and have been looking for a go to gym to train at while in town. I showed up for a Friday open mat, and the training was great. Ted (the Black Belt Instructor) treated me like a valued member of his school, and by the end of the night I felt like I was a true member of the school. great people, great atmosphere, and great instruction. I highly recommend to anyone in the oak ridge/ Knoxville area to give this school a shot. I will definitely be back when I come back to town
