Here is the Mad Science notes and lesson plan for 16-21 January 2023.

 

We decided to spend a second week looking at offense from guard (in the gi class).  No Gi we will look at offense from the mount.

 

Jiu-Jitsu Focus:

  1. Adults: Guard Attacks Week 2
  2. Youth: Guard Attacks (week 2) – Skill development games

Judo Focus:

  1. Adult: Harai Goshi set-ups and movement
  2. Youth: Harai Goshi set-ups and movement

Kickboxing Focus: Bag Work / Partner drilling / Sparring concepts (all).

I could not be happier with the quality of the instruction and the comfort level walking in the door.  Ted is an easy conversation and will defiantly keep things understandable regardless of the level you are on.  Not only do I train, but my kids train with him as well.  And, I have no reservations about recommending him to any adult or child wanting to learn.

I highly recommend trying mad science judo and Jiu-Jitsu. I am from out of town, but visit the area a couple times of year and have been looking for a go to gym to train at while in town. I showed up for a Friday open mat, and the training was great. Ted (the Black Belt Instructor) treated me like a valued member of his school, and by the end of the night I felt like I was a true member of the school. great people, great atmosphere, and great instruction. I highly recommend to anyone in the oak ridge/ Knoxville area to give this school a shot. I will definitely be back when I come back to town
