Here are the Mad Science notes and lesson plan for 3-7 October 2022.

 

Jiu-Jitsu Focus:

            Youth Side Control Escapes

            Adult White to Blue: Side Control Escapes

            Adult Blue to Purple: Standing Self-Defense

Judo Focus: Tomoe Nage and Skills refinement

Kickboxing Focus: Bag Work / Partner drilling / Sparring concepts (all).

 

Notes:

1. This week (October 7th – 9th) is the Pedro Sauer Fall Training Camp. https://pedrosauer.com/product-category/2022-fall-conference!

            - No Morning Jiu-Jitsu Class Friday (7 October).

            - No No-Gi class Friday Evening (7 October).

            - Open mat is still on Friday and Saturday.

2. Two weeks until the Mad Science Open Practice Tournament – still time to pre-register and save on the already low entry fee.

            - October 15th. (Youth and Adult Divisions) at our academy

I highly recommend trying mad science judo and Jiu-Jitsu. I am from out of town, but visit the area a couple times of year and have been looking for a go to gym to train at while in town. I showed up for a Friday open mat, and the training was great. Ted (the Black Belt Instructor) treated me like a valued member of his school, and by the end of the night I felt like I was a true member of the school. great people, great atmosphere, and great instruction. I highly recommend to anyone in the oak ridge/ Knoxville area to give this school a shot. I will definitely be back when I come back to town
